The idea of the “Victims Lounge” shown in this video, can actually be a place in our minds we all venture into at times.
We can stay there a few hours, a few days or a few months.
Some people stay a lifetime!
The Victims Lounge is a dark, hidden and sometimes depressing place where we can only see whats wrong in our lives, with no way out and it becomes very seductive, even addictive.
Its the secret, seedy underground of our thought process that sounds like, “ why is this happening to me? Why can’t I get anywhere? Nothing works out for me.”
Its a place where we can’t seem to take any responsibility for our lives and choices and end up blaming others and blaming situations for all of the upsets and problems we’re experiencing.
As we get used to hanging out in Victimville, it gets harder to leave. The longer we stay, the more stuck we feel. It becomes… comfortable to be there and the feeling of not having to show up in our lives gets easier.
We can blame everyone and everything else on whats wrong in our lives rather than actually making the choice to do something different. The victim mindset encourages us to drink the koolaid, stay unconscious and give up…whats the point of trying or thinking something new anyway?
The lure and temptation of the Victims Lounge loves to call to us when we are feeling unlovable, inadequate, hopeless or judging the crap out of ourselves. Good news is we can always make another choice. Whew!
The Victims Lounge is always open, offering you another shot of unconsciousness….Is the flashing sign of “Always Open” tempting you today? Don’t forget your power of choice….
Now we want to hear from you
What 3 things could you do right away to “Walk Out” of the vicitims lounge? What could you do to make a different choice?
